The ACC has named Florida State running back Dalvin Cook the offensive back of the week. This is his second time winning the award after rushing for 266 yards against South Florida. Cook ran for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns while also catching 3 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Cook has run for 792 yards over the first five games of the season, which is the most by any Florida State running back. He leads the ACC in rushing yards as well.
The ACC also named defensive end Demarcus Walker the defensive lineman of the week. Walker finished the game with 3 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 1 pass breakup, and 1 forced fumble. This is the first time in his career he has won the award. He is the Florida State leader in sacks through the first five games with 3.5.
