Florida State opened up the season with a big 114-68 exhibition win over Lynn University. Seven Florida State players reached the double digit point mark, and were led by 19 points from senior Devin Bookert.
The Seminoles highly touted freshmen all scored in double digits. Dwayne Bacon led the group with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Terrance Mann put up 15 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Malik Beasley finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Center Boris Bojanovsky had a double-double and led the Seminoles with 12 rebounds to go along with his 10 points.
The Seminoles shot 64.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three point line. The Florida State defense held Lynn to just 29.3 percent from the floor and 30 percent from the three point line.
Florida State used their distinct size advantage to out rebound Lynn 57-33.
Michael Ojo, Robbie Berwick, Jean Christ Koumadje, and Brandon Allen were all out for the game.
The Seminoles host Southeastern on November 9th at 7 PM in another exhibition before the regular season gets underway November 15th.
