Florida State Women's Soccer Wins the ACC Championship

Florida State defeats Virginia for their third straight ACC title.

It took penalty kicks, but Florida State got revenge for a regular season loss to Virginia in the ACC Championship game. Each team scored two goals in regulation. Natalia Kuikka and Kristen Crowley scored for the Seminoles while Makenzy Doniak scored both Cavalier goals.

Neither team could get a save to start the shootout period. Each team made their first five goals before Florida State goal Keeper Cassie Miller saved an attempt by Meghan Cox. Berglind Thorvaldsdottir made the next shootout goal and secured the Seminoles their third straight ACC title.

The Seminoles improve to 14-2-3 on the season and are currently ranked No. 4 in the country.
