After missing the last two games, one with a concussion, Everett Golson will get the start against NC State on Saturday. Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher announced that on Thursday night after the Seminoles final practice of the week.
“I’ve been pleased," Fisher said. "We’re going to start Everett. Had a real good week of practice, liked what he did.”
Maguire worked with the first team during the first two days of practice, but on Thursday he was working with the second team. He seemed very uncomfortable throwing the ball, and spent some time with the trainers during practice.
Coach Fisher stated that Maguire was 100-percent healthy and that this wasn't health related. They feel like Golson gives Florida State the best chance to win.
"...This is indicative of what we think we can do best in this game to win the game," Fisher said.
Golson is currently 6-1 as a starter for the Seminoles and is averaging 237 yards per game with 11 touchdowns and 1 interception.
