Panama City (Fla.) Bay 4-star defensive end Janarius Robinson has been committed to Florida State for over a year now, and will take his official to Florida State this weekend. Robinson took an official visit to Alabama last weekend and really enjoyed the trip.
"It was a good visit," Robinson said. "Everything was great. I really liked it up there."
Robinson isn't looking for anything special on his visit to Florida State, but feels like a priority for the coaching staff.
"I’m looking to the school," Robinson said. "Getting to bond with the coaches. I feel like I’m a priority."
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end has liked what he's seen from the Florida State defensive ends this season.
"I see Josh Sweat," Robinson said. "He’s doing pretty good as a true freshman going in and making an impact. They’ve been doing pretty good this year. I think I could fit in there."
Robinson has dealt with a hand injury for most of the season and recently had surgery on his right hand.
"I had surgery like three or four weeks ago," I tore my UCL. I had a pin and two screws. I got my pin out yesterday."
With two officials down, Robinson knows two more schools that he plans to officially visit.
"I know I’m going to take one to Florida and Georgia, but I don’t have those dates set," Robinson said.
Robinson is the No. 15 defensive end and the No. 127 prospect overall in the 2016 Scout 300.
