Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award.

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is having a special season. He's already set the record for most rushing yards in a single-season by a Florida State player with 1,369 despite only playing a little more than 8 games on the season. 

Cook is currently averaging 8.1 yards per carry this season, which leads all Power-5 running backs, and has 14 touchdowns. He leads the nation in yards from scrimmage with 174.6 and is second in rushing yards per game with 152.1. Cook needs 6 touchdowns in the final three games of the season to tie Florida State's single season touchdown record.

The finalists for the award with be announced on November 24th, and the winner will be announced on December 10th.
