Florida State Bounces Back With 83-67 Win Over DePaul

Florida State bounced back from their first loss of the season in dominant fashion.

Florida State took an early lead against DePaul and never let up in 83-67 win. The Seminoles advance to play in the fourth place game of the Paradise Jam tournament.

Once again a freshman led the team in scoring. This time it was guard Dwayne Bacon, who dropped 19 points and 5 rebounds. Freshman Malik Beasley was the Seminoles second leading scorer with 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Bacon and Beasley were the leading rebounders on the team along with 7-foot-4 freshman Jean-Christ Koumadje with 5. Koumadje also added 5 points. Florida State took advantage of their size and outrebounded DePaul 35-24.

The Seminoles shot 52.9-percent from the floor and 33.3-percent from outside the arc. Their free throw shooting was markedly better going 24-33 from the line.

Turnovers were still an issue for the Seminoles. They turned the ball over 17 times with only 13 assists. Boris Bojanovsky led the team with 4 turnovers. It wasn't Bojanovsky's night as he only had 2 points and no rebounds in his 11 minutes on the court.

The Seminoles improve to 3-1 on the season. They will play Ohio on Sunday, November 23rd at 4 PM.
