Florida State Falls Short Against Iowa 78-75

Florida State falls just short of victory against Iowa.

Florida State falls 78-75 in overtime against Iowa. The Seminoles had a chance to win it in regulation, but Devin Bookert's last second heave bounced off the rim.

True freshman guard Malik Beasley led the Seminoles with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Fellow true freshman Dwayne Bacon had 11 points and 4 rebounds. Xavier Rathan-Mayes had 15 points to go along with 5 assists and 4 rebounds.

Boris Bojanovsky finished with his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Montay Brandon had 8 rebounds as well. The Seminoles dominated the boards for most of the game and finished with 49 rebounds to 41 for Iowa.

Florida State shot poorly in the first half, but picked it up in the second half and overtime. The Seminoles finshed just 38-percent from the field, and just 4-21 from the three point line. The Seminoles also had double digit turnovers on the game and finished with 14 turnovers. 

Florida State falls to 4-2 on the season after the loss. The Seminoles have not won their ACC-B1G challenge since a 75-61 win over Minnesota in 2007.
