Florida State running back Dalvin Cook has the numbers to be a Heisman finalist, but the Heisman Throphy voters overlooked him. Florida State was not in the race for a playoff spot after falling to Georgia Tech in October, and that damaged Cook's chances. Here are the finalists:
Alabama RB Derrick Henry
Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey
Clemson QB Deshaun Watson
Cook has been at his best in Florida State's big games this season, and averaged 7.86 yards per carry this season. That's a full yard more than each of the other Heisman finalist running backs.
Cook will have another chance to win the award in 2016 as he is only a true sophomore.
