4-star Wide Receiver Keith Gavin Injured During State Title Game

Wide receiver Keith Gavin was injured during his state championship game.

Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla 4-star wide receiver Keith Gavin suffered a right shoulder injury on the final drive of the 5A state title game. Wakulla missed a 50 yard field goal to tie and fell to Bishop Moore 37-34. Gavin finished the game with 5 catches for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had a 72 yard kickoff return.

A diagnosis of the injury was not given, but Gavin was being treated in the ambulance right outside the stadium.

Gavin was supposed to take an official visit to Alabama this weekend, but that visit seems to be in jeopardy after the injury. He is not an early enrollee, and will still have time to visit Alabama once the dead period ends in January.

Gavin is still considering Alabama, Florida State, and Georgia.

Injury Update:

Gavin's mother posted to her Facebook page that Gavin suffered an AC joint separation, but that he would not require surgery.
