Florida State Dominates Mississippi State 90-66

Florida State outscored Mississippi State 53-28 in the second half to pull away for the victory.

Florida State took care of business 90-66 at home against Mississippi State on Wednesday evening. The Seminoles paid Missisippi State back for a 62-55 loss in Starkville last season. 

Florida State's top freshman Malik Beasley and Dwayne Bacon led the way for the Seminoles on the scoreboard. Bacon led the Seminoles with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Beasley wasn't far behind with 17 points and 10 rebounds. It is the first double-double of his career. 

Xavier Rathan-Mayes added his second double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. It was his first double-double with rebounds this season.

Boris Bojanovsky also scored in double digits for the Seminoles adding 11 points to 6 rebounds. All his stats were recorded in the first half.

The Seminoles dominated on the boards once again. They outrebounded the Bulldogs 46-32. 

Florida State shot 47.6-percent from the field and made 26-36 free throws. The Seminoles held Mississippi state to just 38.7-percent from the field. 

The Seminoles did struggle holding on to the ball in the first half with 7 turnovers to just 2 assists. They were much better in the second half 9 assists to just 4 turnovers. 

Florida State improved to 7-2 on the season, and will play Florida Atlantic at the Orange Bowl Classic on Saturday, December 19th at 5 PM.
