Florida State quarterback Everett Golson did not travel with the team for the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl due to to personal reasons. Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher announced last week that one of Golson's family member's had passed away.
Golson started eight games this season and the Seminoles went 7-1 in those games. Golson completed 67.1-percent of his passes for 1,778 yards and 11 touchdowns with 3 interceptions. He averaged 8.1 yards per completion. Sean Maguire replaced Golson partway through the season as the Seminoles starting quarterback.
Golson transfered in from Notre Dame for his reshirt senior season.
