Florida State Struggles In 72-59 Loss To Miami

Florida State couldn't get anything going on their way to a loss at Miami.

Florida State struggled in nearly every aspect of the game on their way to a 72-59 loss at Miami. The Seminoles fall to 0-3 in the ACC after the loss. Florida State never led in the game.

Florida State shot poorly in the game, and continues to shoot poorly from beyond the arc. The Seminoles shot just 35.4 percent from the field in the game and 10.5 percent from the three point line.

Freshmen guards Malik Beasley and Dwayne Bacon struggled as well, but did find some rythmn in the second half. Both players finished in double digits with a team high 13 points for Beasley and 10 points for Bacon. Beasley also picked up 9 rebounds. Bacon was in foul trouble for most of the game. Xavier Rathan-Mayes also finished with 10 points.

Florida State rebounded better than they have over the past three games. The Seminoles finished with one rebound more than the Hurricanes 39-38.

Florida State will look to rebound from their bad start in the ACC at NC State on January 13th at 9 PM.
