Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola 4-star defensive back Carlos Becker took an official visit to Florida State this weekend. Becker has been one of the biggest risers in the 2016 class after a standout senior season and Under Armour performances.
Becker had high praise for his visit to Tallahassee.
"I enjoyed everything about it," Becker said.
Becker was the only uncommitted prospect on the visit list for the Seminoles this weekend, and got to spend a lot of time with the coaching staff as a result.
"I talked to Coach Jimbo [Fisher] a lot," Becker said. "I also got to talk to Coach Trickett and Coach Kelly."
Fisher made sure that the talented defensive back knew that he was a priority.
"He was just telling me he likes me as a player and that they need me in their class," Becker said. "After meeting me and seeing me for the past few days he likes me as a person too.
Florida State sees Becker filling a number of roles should he choose the Seminoles.
"Coach Kelly sees me at corner, nickel, and safety," Becker said.
Becker was hosted by superstar freshman safety Derwin James.
"He’s a pretty cool dude," Becker said.
After the visit Becker has the Seminoles in his top group along with NC State and Ohio State. He has already taken an official to NC State, and will take an official visit to Ohio State next weekend. A decision could come following that visit.
"I'm not sure," Becker said. "Whenever I’m ready."
Becker is rated at the No. 13 cornerback and No. 138 prospect in the 2016 Scout 300.
