Nixa (M.O.) 3-star specialist and Florida State commit Logan Tyler took his official visit to Tallahassee last weekend. Tyler had been on campus before, but really enjoyed his visit.
"It was amazing," Tyler said. "Everything I expected and more."
Getting to spend time with Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher and the rest of the coaching staff was one of the things he enjoyed the most.
"The coaching staff," Tyler said. "Getting to meet all of them and talk with them just showed how we've created such a classy program, and it all starts with Coach Fisher and how he presents himself. The food was fantastic too."
Tyler was hosted by early enrollees Andrew Boselli and Ricky Aguayo. Tyler and Aguayo are a few months away from competing for the starting place kicker position, but that hasn't stopped them from becoming friends.
"I mean, we're both great athletes and fierce competitors, so it won't be anything personal," Tyler said. "We both know on the field we're going to compete hard, but off the field we'll still be good friends."
Tyler is rated as a 5-star kicker and punter by Kohl's Kicking, and doesn't have a preference for which one he will play in college. He has confidence that he can do both very well.
"I don't," Tyler said. "I have confidence in myself that I know I'll exceed at both at a high level. They're recruiting me as a specialist, nothing in particular."
Tyler is rated as the No. 12 kicker in the country by Scout.
