Valdosta (GA) Lowndes 3-star fullback Gabe Nabers has committed to Florida State. Nabers originally committed to Georgia Southern, and then last week he committed to USF. The offer to play for the school that he grew up a fan of was just too big of an opportunity to pass up.
"I went to the camps sophomore and junior year," Nabers said. "I've been a fan since 8th grade. It means the world to me to be apart such a incredible program."
Florida State told Nabers the offer was coming last night, and head coach Jimbo Fisher called to extend the offer today.
"Coach Graham relayed it to me last night that they were interested, and today coach Fisher called me and extended the offer," Nabers said. "It's the best feeling in the world."
The 6-foot-3, 238-pound athlete is coming in to fill the tight end/H-back role for the Seminoles.
