FSU Recruiting Final Weekend: What To Watch For

A full breakdown of what to watch for this weekend as an FSU fan.

Visiting FSU

5-star defensive end Brian Burns will be taking his final official to FSU. He has already visisted Georgia and Florida, and the Seminoles are still in good shape here. An excellent visit could tip the balance even further to Florida State.

5-star JUCO defensive end Jonathan Kongbo is down to four schools (Ole Miss, Tennessee, USC and FSU), and all four have a chance to land him. Florida State will have the last opportunity to sway him before he makes his decision on signing day.

4-star running back commit Amir Rasul will be taking an official to FSU this weekend. Rasul has visited a couple schools since the end of the dead period, and FSU is looking to keep him in the fold with a good visit.

4-star defensive tackle and Florida commit Shavar Manuel is expected to visit Florida State. It will be the first time that he has been back to Tallahassee since April.

A few Florida State commitments will also be making their official visits to FSU. 4-star tight end Naseir Upshur, 4-star linebacker Keion Joyner, 3-star Prep offensive tackle Mike Arnold, and 3-star FB Gabe Nabers will all be making the trip.

5-star cornerback Levonta Taylor will be making his way to Tallahassee for an unofficial visit to do some recruiting for the Seminoles this weekend.

Visiting Elsewhere

4-star safety and FSU commit Jamel Cook is visiting USC this weekend. Cook's recruitment has definitely been interesting down the stretch, with his plans changing so many times.

4-star guard Landon Dickerson is visiting Tennessee this weekend. Dickerson has had Florida State and Tennessee as his Top-2 for a while now, but Florida State seems to have the edge. Will they be able to hold on to it after he visits Knoxville?

4-star offensive tackle Jauan Williams is visiting Georgia. Williams has had Florida State at the top of his board for a while now, while the team behind them continue to shuffle.

4-star cornerback Carlos Becker will be officially visiting Ole Miss this weekend. Florida State is out in front for Becker, but Ole Miss will be looking to change that.

3-star linebacker and FSU commit Emmett Rice will be visiting Louisville. The Cardinals are doing everything they can to flip him, but will it be enough?

3-star safety and FSU commit Clifford Chattman is visiting Texas A&M. Less than a week after Chattman said he was through with his recruitment he announced that he will take one more visit to College Station.

4-star linebacker Dontavious Jackson is taking an unofficial to Texas this weekend. He has used all of his officials, and did not take one to Texas. Still, Charlie Strong and the Longhorns will have last crack at the talented Houston linebacker.
