Coral Gables (Fla.) 4-star running back Amir Rasul officially visited Florida State this weekend. Rasul has been committed to the Seminoles since July, but had taken some visits to North Carolina and Alabama prior to visiting Tallahassee.
His visit to Florida State went as well as it could have according to Rasul.
"It was a really good visit," Rasul said. "It was one of the best visits I have ever taken. It was the best visit I have ever taken."
Rasul got to spend a lot of time with the players and the coaches, and that made all the difference.
"Just the players and the coaches," Rasul said. "I understand that I've got work to do, but I have an opprtunity here, and I'm going to take advantage."
The Semper Fi All-American was hosted by star running back Dalvin Cook. Rasul enjoyed hanging out with him, and also enjoyed spending time with his future position coach Jay Graham.
"He just explained to me how I fit into the offense," Rasul said. "How they want to use me and the differnt things they can do with me."
Rasul brought his mother and his little sister with him on the visit.
"My mom's an alumni," Rasul said. "She's a Florida State alumni so I think you already know how she enjoyed it."
Now that he's finished his Florida State visit, Rasul has a message for Seminoles fans.
"I'm fully committed to Florida State," Rasul said. "100 percent."
Rasul was even doing some recruiting for the Seminoles this weekend.
"I was trying to Shavar Manuel and Brian Burns to come," Rasul said.
Rasul is rated as the No. 13 running back and No. 209 recruit overall in the 2016 Scout 300.
