FSU Holds On Against NC State 77-73

Florida State held off a surging Wolfpack to break even in ACC play.

Florida State pulled away early in the first half, and held on in the second half on the way to a 77-73 victory over NC State. The Seminoles have now won two straight ACC games. 

Dwayne Bacon and Malik Beasley led the Seminoles in scoring once again. Bacon led the Seminoles with 20 points while Beasley was right behind with 15. Beasley also added 6 rebounds.

The Seminoles held a 38-26 lead at the half, but NC State stormed back in the second to make it close. They pulled within two numerous times, but could never break that deficit.  

Florida State shot 52.7 percent from the field for the game, but allowed NC State to shoot 48.2 percent including 58.6 percent in the second half. 

The Seminoles out rebounded the Wolfpack 33-28.

Florida State improves to 15-7 and 5-5 in the ACC. They will travel to Winston Salem to take on Wake Forest on February 6th at 12 PM.
