FSU Falls At Virginia Tech 83-73

Florida State dropped their fourth straight game.

Any hope that Florida State had of making the NCAA Tournament faded after Florida State fell to Virginia Tech 83-73. The Seminoles have now dropped four straight games. At this point making the NIT may be a concern.

Florida State led the game 45-37 at the half thanks to Dwayne Bacon's outstanding first half performance.

The Seminoles were outscored 46-28 in the second half in large part due to their excellent 3 point shooting. The Hokies made 11 of their 19 three pointers.

The Hokies shot 52.8 percent from the field while Florida State shot just 43.9 percent. The Seminoles committed 12 turnovers.

Dwayne Bacon led the Seminoles with 22. Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 14, and Malik Beasley and Boris Bojanovsky added 11 each. Bojanovsky also had 6 rebounds and 4 blocks.

The Seminoles fall to 16-11 and 6-9 in the ACC. Their next game comes at Duke on February 25th at 7 PM on ESPN. Florida State will now need to win out to finish the season with a .500 record in the ACC.
