4-star OT Tank Jenkins Feels At Home At FSU

Massive 2018 offensive tackle Tank Jenkins feels at home at Florida State.

Montgomery (Ala.) Park Crossing 4-star offensive tackle Marcus Jenkins, more commonly known as Tank, is one of the most highly sought after offensive lineman in the 2018 class. He's closing in on double digit offers, and already holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Ole Miss.

Jenkins took a visit to Florida State over the weekend and really enjoyed his visit.

"It was good," Jenkins said. "I just like the atmosphere and everything that Florida State offers me and stuff. It was really fun."

Jenkins had previously taken a visit to Florida State for the 2015 Spring Game, but he was able to get to know the program better this time.

"I learned more about the coaches," Jenkins said. "I learned a lot. I learned about what they come for, and what they need out of you and everything else."

Florida State offensive line coach Rick Trickett got to spend some time with Jenkins, and gave him some advice.

"He taught to listen and stuff," Jenkins said. "He taught me something I needed to know. Something I really needed to know. Just going on with my life and slow down with the recruiting process. Don't go overboard with it. Keep calm and keep humble."

Jenkins really likes coach Trickett as a person.

"He's like a little cool, swagged out old man," Jenkins said. "He's real cool though. I love him. He tolme stuff I needed to really know."

Florida State stands out to Jenkins because it just feels like home.

"Everytime I put that jersey on, I feel like I'm at home," Jenkins said.

He gets that feeling at other places, but it really stands out at Florida State.

"There's a lot of other places that give me that feeling too, but you come here and you feel at home and you relax," Jenkins said. "Everybody treats you like you're brothers and sisters."

The Seminoles are the team that currently stands out the most according to Jenkins, but there are a number of other schools in the mix.

During his visit Jenkins measured in at 6-foot-2.5, 340-pounds. Florida State is recruiting him as a guard.
