Brantley (Ala.) 3-star quarterback Jacob Free has visited Florida State multiple times, and he was back in Tallahassee on Wednesday. Free holds an offer from Louisville, but is receiveing interest from a number of top schools.
Free really enjoyed his visit.
"I had a great time," Free said. "I love everything about this campus. All the new stuff that's going on. They've got a lot of new things going on here. I like it a lot. I love the coaches. I love everything about it."
Free had visited Florida State for camp, but this visit had a much more personal feel.
"It was more hands on," Free said. "More talking with the coaches. I got to see all the new renovations that's been done. Just more relaxed. Just being able to talk to the coaches."
Florida State has not offered Free yet, but he understands that Florida State is taking their time with quarterback recruiting this cycle.
"They said they're very interested in me," Free said. "I'm one of their top recruits. They just take their time in recruiting quarterbacks because you only take one quarterback. If you take the wrong one that year of signing it's not going to be very good. You've got to know what quarterback you're going to take and be thorough with it. Take the right one."
Florida State plans to do more evaluating of Free in the spring and at camp this summer.
"I'm going to come back [for camp]," Free said. "We're going to have a spring game, so they said they'll be down in the spring to watch me play also.
Louisville currently leads for the 6-foot-4, 204-pound quarterback.
