FSU Spring Questions: Defensive Line

Florida State returns two starters along the defensive line, but who's behind them is a big question.

1. Is Demarcus Christmas ready to step into the starting role?

Christmas was very good when he played last year, but he will be called upon to take a lot more snaps this season. He has the ability, and the light clicked on for him as the season went on. If he can be as good as expected, Florida State will have one of the best defensive tackle duos in the country.

2. How good is Adam Torres?

With Rick Leonard expected to make the move to the offensive line, Florida State is very thin at the defensive end position. With Robinson out for the spring with a shoulder injury that leaves just Demarcus Walker and Adam Torres in that spot. Torres hasn't played much during his career, and has been somewhat forgotten by the fan base and the media. It does say a lot that the staff was comfortable enough in what they have at the position to move Leonard.

3. What will Aime bring to the table?

Walvenski Aime is a massive, athletic human being, but he's only played defensive tackle for two years. If he can come in and contribute immediately the Florida State defensive line will be a force to be reckoned with. He will need to use this spring to develop his skills, but with 3 years to play 3, he has a little more time than most JUCO transfers.
