1. Can Matthew Thomas make it?
Thomas is easily the most talented linebacker on Florida State's roster, but a year and a half worth of suspensions and a shoulder injury have made many fans skeptical that he makes an impact at Florida State. Thomas has been praised by head coach Jimbo Fisher for his work ethic during 4th Quarter Drills, and seems optimistic about Thomas. If he can stay healthy and out of trouble, he will be a huge help to a linebacking corps that lacks depth.
2. Where does Josh Brown play?
Brown has received rave reviews from both coaches and players for his work ethic, and ability. He's going to be on the field as a freshman, but the question is where does he play? Brown has the ability to play on the edge in the Buck linebacker role, but is also athletic enough to drop back in coverage at the Will. The Seminoles lack of depth at inside linebacker may force the coaching staff's hand on where to play him this year.
3. Is it now or never for Delvin Purifoy?
Purifoy suffered a debilitating ankle injury as a freshman, and nearly two years later it's still causing him issues. Purifoy took part in some of the 4th Quarter Drills that were open to the media, but he spent most of the time jogging around the field. With a large, and talented, group of freshmen linebackers coming in this summer, it could be the last opportunity for Purifoy to show that he can make an impact at Florida State.
