Florida State had their first practice in pads on Saturday, and there were some notable players out or missing. Linebacker Matthew Thomas was not in attendance. Chris Casher, Auden Tate, and Sh'Mar Kilby-Lane were all not participating in addition to the players out for the spring.
Running back Mario Pender was in full pads and taking fourth team reps during drills. EDIT: That was not Mario Pender. It was Ryan Green making the move to running back.
Demarcus Christmas was participating in position drills, but not doing much overall movement. Walvenski Aime was working with the first team in his place.
Rick Leonard and Cole Minshew continue to work with the second team offensive line. The first team offensive line remains the same with Rod Johnson, Kareem Are, Alec Eberle, Wilson Bell, and Brock Ruble.
JJ Cosentino continues to work as the first team quarterback with Deondre Francois second and Malik Henry third.
Mavin Saunders continues to work exclusively with the wide receivers.
There were a number of recruits in attendance, but there were three 2018 recruits that have a chance to pick up an offer or already hold an offer from Florida State. Local 3-star linebacker Amari Gainer, 4-star running back Lorenzo Lingard, and 4-star running back Brian Snead. Lingard already holds an offer from the Seminoles and is considered a heavy lean. Long Snapper Thomas Fletcher was also in attendance. He holds an offer from Florida State.
