Florida State jumped on the Hatters early with five runs in the bottom of the first. Cal Raleigh got things going with a 3-run home run, his seventh of the season. The Seminoles brought in two more runs thanks to a Stetson fielding error.

Florida State and Stetson traded runs in the second. The Hatters got on the board in the top of the second with an RBI single by Jack Perkins, and Jackson Lueck came through with a 2-RBI single to put the Seminoles up 7-1.

The two teams traded runs again in the fifth. Austin Hale came through with an RBI single for Stetson. Dylan Busby hit a towering home run off the very top of the scoreboard in left field, his fifth of the season to make it 8-2.

Starter Tyler Holton went six full innings while giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and 1 walk with 6 strikeouts. He was replaced by Alec Byrd in the top of the seventh.

Once Holton left the Hatters started to make a comeback. Byrd gave up an RBI single to Cory Reid in the seventh to make it 8-3. Chase Haney came in to pitch the eighth. Haney got the first batter of the inning, but gave up a run on 2 hits and 2 walks before he was replaced by Tyler Warmoth. Backup catcher Bryan Bussey gave up a passed ball that allowed another run to make it 8-5.

Warmoth got the Seminoles out of the inning, and then pitched a scoreless ninth to give the Seminoles the win. It was the third save of the season for Warmoth.
