Florida State got things started early, and never let up in a 10-0 win over Bowling Green State. Starter Drew Carlton picked up his sixth win of the season.
The Seminoles took a commanding lead early with five runs in the second. The Seminoles drove in those runs with RBI singles from Dylan Busby, Cal Raleigh, and Hank Truluck as well as a fielders choice by Taylor Walls. Florida State added another run in the third with Ben DeLuzio coming home on a passed ball.
Quincy Neiporte put the game out of reach in the fourth with a 3-run home run, his fifth of the season, to make it 8-0 Seminoles. Bryan Bussey added a 2-RBI double in the sixth to make it 10-0.
Drew Carlton threw 6 innings giving up no runs on 5 hits with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts. He was replaced at the start of the seventh inning by Tyler Holton. Holton threw two scoreless innings before being relieved by Andrew Karp at the beginning of the ninth. Karp got into a jam, but prevented any runs from coming in.
Florida State improves to 31-13 on the season, and remains 14-6 in the ACC. The Seminoles will go for the sweep on Sunday at 1 PM.
