Florida State defeated Bowling Green 6-1 and completed the sweep of the Falcons. Cole Sands picks up his fourth win of the season.
Bowling Green got on the board first with a run in the second on an RBI single for Kory Brown. The Seminoles tied the game at 1 in the bottom half of the inning after a throwing error allowed Dylan Busby to score.
John Sansone gave the Seminoles the lead in the third with a solo home run to left field. Dylan Busby would add to the lead in the fourth with a solo home run to left field of his own. It was each players seventh home run of the season.
Florida State continued to pile on in the fifth inning with two more runs to make it 5-1. John Sansone drove in another run with an RBI fielders choice. Cal Raleigh followed with an RBI single.
Sansone continued his great day with an RBI single in the sixth to make it 6-1. He had 3 RBIs on the day.
Cole Sands was relieved by Chase Haney at the start of the seventh. Sands gave up 1 run in 6 innings on 3 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Haney pitched a scoreless seventh inning. Alec Byrd came in for Haney in the eighth, and set the Falcons down in order.
Tyler Warmoth came in and closed the game out in the ninth.
Florida State improves to 32-13 overall, and remain at 14-6 in the ACC. The Seminoles will next play at Jacksonville on Tuesday, May 10 at 6 PM.
