Florida State has been chosen as one of the 16 regional host sites for the NCAA Baseball Tournament. The Seminoles have compiled a 37-20 record over the course of the season, and finished second in the ACC Tournament.
The Seminoles were on the hosting bubble heading into the ACC Tournament. They had dropped their last three ACC series, and were on the down swing. During the ACC Tournament they went 3-0 in pool play against NC State, Georgia Tech, and Miami. Two of those teams are also regional hosts. Florida State dropped the ACC Championship game to Clemson, but their bounce back week was enough to ensure that they will be at home next weekend.
The other host teams are LSU, Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Miami, Clemson, Louisville, Virginia, NC State, Texas Tech, TCU, and UL Lafayette. The Seminoles will find out which teams will be in their regional, and which super regional they will be paired with on Monday May 30th at Noon.
