Five Recruits That Could Break Into Fisher's Top-10 At FSU

Who are the five recruits or players that could break into the Top-10 recruits of the Jimbo Fisher era at Florida State?

Yesterday I posted an article breaking down the Top-10 most important recruits of the Jimbo Fisher era. Now I'm going to look at the five current players or committed recruits that could break into that list once their time at Florida State is over.

5. 2014 4-star OT Roderick Johnson

Johnson has started the last 18 games for the Seminoles at left tackle, and is the reigning Jacobs Blocking Trophy award winner for the best offensive lineman in the ACC. He needs to get more consistent, but if he takes the step forward that many believe he is capable of he could leave Tallahassee as one of the best left tackles in program history.

4. 2014 4-star QB Deondre Francois

Francois has a chance to take a big step forward this fall as he tries to earn the starting job. He has the tools to be the next great Florida State quarterback, but whether he puts it all together is the question. His development will be a big factor in how far Florida State goes this season.

3. 2014 5-star DE Josh Sweat

Sweat was coming off a major knee injury in 2014, but still managed to start nine games for the Seminoles in 2015. He has the ability to be a great defensive end, but is another one that needs to put it all together. If it does he could be a special player for Florida State.

2. 2017 5-star CB Stanford Samuels III

Normally I wouldn't put a current commitment on a list like this, but Samuels III is no ordinary commitment. In addition to being a Florida State legacy and growing up around the program, Samuels III is rated as the No. 1 cornerback in the country. His combination of size, speed, and athleticism make him one of the most coveted recruits in the country, and he could be coming in at the perfect time in 2017.

1. 2016 5-star CB Levonta Taylor

Taylor just arrived on campus and already has extremely high expectations set for him. He will likely take over the starting punt returner role immediately, and is expected to compete for a starting role before the season is over. He has the attitude that coaches covet in their star cornerbacks, and has the athleticism and speed to match it. If he can meet the expectations set for him he will be on the list by the time he leaves Tallahassee.
