Former 5-star defensive end Chris Casher is no longer on the Florida State roster. Casher was a part of the Seminoles 2012 recruiting class that played a huge part in the 2013 National Championship and 2014 College Football Playoff seasons. Casher himself never made much of an impact in Tallahassee, and will leave as one of the biggest recruiting busts of Jimbo Fisher's tenure at Florida State.
Casher finished his career with 34 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 1 fumble return for a touchdown. His best season came in 2013 when he recorded 15 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. He couldn't break into the rotation at defensive end through the first four years of his career, and only saw time as a backup. This spring Casher made the move to tight end to try and see the field, but the move didn't pan out for him.
Casher will be most remembered for his part in the Jameis Winston saga.
