Florida State has picked up a late commitment from a JUCO shooting guard.

Florida State has landed a final commitment for the 2016 class with Patrick Savoy Jr. committing to the Seminoles on Tuesday night. Savoy also held offers from Utah and Texas Tech.

Savoy Jr. committed by releasing this statement on Twitter.

It reads:

"First off I would like to thank the man above for giving me talent I have and presenting me with this opportunity. I also want to thank all the coaches and outstanding programs that have recruited me to continue both my education and basketball career. I am proud to say I am a Savoy. I am grateful to have the unwavering support that I have had from both my family and my friends during this decision. I would like to say thank you to all the coaches that have helped me get this far. Big shout out to my Sheridan family for being understanding in my choice. With that being said I would like to say that I will continue my education and better my skills in Garnet and Gold at the Florida State University! Go Noles! #FSUReady."

Savoy averaged 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game for Sheridan College last season.
