Miami CB Will Visit Noles

At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Miami Northwestern cornerback Trevor Ford has the size and speed college recruiters drool over. Along with his great size, Ford has blazing speed as he runs the 40- yard dash in 4.39 seconds. In his first two games this year, Ford showed why he was one of the premier cornerbacks in the State of Florida this season. He did not allow a reception against Dillard or Booker T. High School.

Even with his solid play in the opener against Booker T. Washington, Ford still feels like he has a lot of room for improvement.

"Oh yeah, I still feel I can play much better," Ford said. "Against Booker T. Washington I got turned around on one play and still knocked the pass down but I dropped an interception. I want to also improve on my open field tackling."

When the Insiders spoke with Ford after the game, the South Floridian mentioned some of the schools he will set visits up with this fall.

"I am going to Iowa on December 7th and Florida State on Jan 7th," he said. "I will be setting up visits with Miami and Kansas State as well."

Ford also mentioned to the Insiders how he will take an unofficial visit to Tallahassee for the FSU/Miami game in October.

This past weekend Ford was able to take in the Florida vs. Miami ballgame. He came away very impressed by the way Florida played and by Miami's comeback.

"The game was great, it was impressive how Florida jumped on Miami early but the Hurricanes were still able to come back and win," the lockdown corner said.

Not only did Ford watch the game he hung out with some other recruits at the game.

"I was with Lavon Ponder and Anthony Reddick who I met earlier this year at the Miami camp," he said.

Ford said he would like to take all of visits and see where he fits in best.
