LA DE Has A Favorite

Charles Alexander, a defensive end/tackle prospect from Breaux Bridge (LA), is lighting up the competition despite being constantly being doubled teamed and chop blocked on every play. So far this season, the big 6-foot-3 and 270 pounder has averaged 10 tackles and five pressures a game to go along with 3and ½ sacks on the season. Where does he stand recruitment with the Noles?

"Right now I favor Florida State," Alexander said. "They have a winning tradition and they always compete for National Championships. It seems like the players they recruit from this area end up in the pros. Also, it's not too far from home."

Alexander, who has been offered by all of his favorites, will make official visits to Michigan, Florida State, Oklahoma State, Michigan State and LSU.

LSU could be the biggest competition for the Noles in the end.

"I‘ve been to all of LSU's home games because it's not too far from home," he said. "Coach Saban calls my house once a week. I'm going up to Michigan for a visit but I'm not sure about them because of the cold."

Alexander will take most of his official visits starting in December.

He compares his style of play to Georgia's defensive end David Pollack.

"Like him I'm physical, strong and fast." Alexander said.
