No. 1 Prep WR Will Be In Tally

Early Doucet is The No. 1 ranked wide receiver prospect in the country. The Saint Martinville (La.)Senior will be taking his first official visit this weekend to Florida State when the fifth-ranked Seminoles square off against the second-ranked Hurricanes.

"I'm flying in for the visit with my sister and brother in law," the five-star prospect said. "I want to get a feel for the school (FSU) and the players and coaches. I want to see how they react on game day."

Doucet's top five schools are Miami, Florida, Florida State, LSU and Oklahoma. This weekend, he'll get to see two of his favorites up close. What does he like about the Canes and Noles?

"I like everything about Miami," the five-star prospect said. "I like their aggressive style of play. I like their confidence. The same goes for Florida State. They are big and fast. That's the kind of program that I ‘m looking to play for. Their program has a bunch of go-getters and that's what I like about them."

Next up for 6-foot-1 and 205 pound athlete with 4.4 40 speed is an official visit with Oklahoma the following weekend. Doucet will take all of his official visits and then decide on a school sometime in January.

This past summer Doucet squared off against Miami (Fla.) Northwestern's Trevor Ford, who considered one of the top cornerbacks in the country, at the Miami football camp. According to many reports, their battles were the best at the camp.
"He (Ford) was the best cornerback at the camp," Doucet, who has already accounted for 12 touchdowns this season, said. "He's big, fast and real competitive. We were working each other at the camp. Afterwards we sat down and laughed about it. I'm going to look for him at the game."

Doucet, who plays both quarterback and wide receiver, has helped lead his team to a 4-1 record. Last week he rushed the ball two times for 80 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 50 yards.
