Noles Lead For LB

Garry Pack is a name that will be a hot commodity in the coming weeks as we enter the busy time of recruiting season. Pack, 6-1 and 218 pounds, plays running back and middle linebacker for Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove High School. They are 8-0 and ranked No. 3 in 5A. Last season as a junior, Pack recorded 174 tackles and was an All-State member. In eight games this season, he has recorded 91 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss and 3 sacks. Offensively, he has rushed for 928 yards and 18 touchdowns.

"I play middle linebacker now but I think I will be an outside guy in college," Pack said. "I am fast and I read the play very well. I guess I have good instincts out there."

According to Pack, he has close to 50 offers but has narrowed things down to a few select schools. He has an out of state favorite that he has dreamed of playing for since he was a little boy.

"I love Florida State. I have been watching them since I was I little. It's a dream of mine to play for them. I have talked with Coach (Mickey) Andrews and they have offered. I am also looking at Tennessee, LSU, Southern Miss, and Ole Miss. I want to wait and see what Mississippi State does with their new coach. But right now, I am leaning to FSU."

So far, Pack has set up one official visit to Tennessee (12-12) in December.

Note - Pack will be featured on Fox Sports Net South's Countdown to Signing Day this Wednesday at 7:30 eastern.
