Abbott Talks about Decision

With Florida State's depth problem along the offensive line, it's no surprise that the coaches would make that position a priority recruiting wise this year. The Florida State coaches were aggressive in landing a big fish. And I mean a big fish. Courtney Abbott a 6-foot-9 and 330 pound offensive tackle from Atlanta (GA) Westlake gave his word to the Seminole coaches.

"I committed to Florida State today," Abbott said. "I talked with Coach Haggins, Heggins and John Lilly also. I felt real comfortable with the coaches and my mom was also. That's where she wanted me to go and she has never steered me wrong before."

Surprisely Abbott was leaning to Virginia before making his decision on Florida State. He visited the Cavaliers this pasted weekend.

"I liked Virginia but I felt more comfortable at Florida State," he said.

Abbott was also considering Georgia and Kentucky. He will also still visit Florida and LSU.

How certain is Abbott that he'll sign with the Noles in the end?

"I'm real certain," he said.

Abbott will visit Florida State officially on November 15th for the North Carolina State game.
