Jacksonville Standout Trips To Tallahassee

Kyle Jackson, The Insiders.com No.3 ranked safety in country, made an unofficial visit to Florida State this past weekend. The Terriory.org caught up with the Jacksonville (Fla.) Fletcher standout to find out how his trip to Tallahassee went.

"I had a real nice time," Jackson, who has recorded over 60 tackles and four interceptions through seven games, said. "I got a chance to talk with Leon Washington before the game. He told me that was going to bring back a punt for a touchdown. I also talked with the coaches and Drew Weatherford. Florida State is recruiting me for Rover. I wouldn't mind playing at Rover because I like to hit."

It looks to be two team race for 6-foot-1 and 176 pound safety.

"I like both Florida and Florida State both a lot," he said. "I think both those schools would give me the opportunity. I would say now Florida probably would give me the best opportunity now."

Jackson has several official visits already set up. He will visit Alabama (12/1), Florida (1/3), and Tennessee (1/16). He will also visit Florida State unofficially.

The Fletcher high school senior has visited unofficially both Florida and Florida State twice.

"I'm going to see the Vanderbilt/Florida and Florida/Florida State games," he said. "I got to go see that game."

Jackson is an excellent student that is on track to academically qualify for college.
