Noles Offer South Florida DE

Willie Young, a defensive end from Palm Beach Garden (Fla.), is considered one of the top defenders from the South Florida area. Schools such as Florida, Auburn, Ohio State and Nebraska have already offered him a scholarship. Last Week, the Noles decided to throw their name into the hat as well.

"Coach Lilly called me last Thursday and he offered me a scholarship," The 6-foot-4 and 210 pound defensive end said. "I don't have a top five yet but Florida State is now in running. I should know soon."

Young, will visit Miami unofficially for the Tennessee game. He has no official dates set yet.

Does he have a favorite team?

Being from Georgia I grew up a fan of Georgia," he said. "Since I moved to Florida, I followed Miami and Florida. Now with all of the teams that have offered, I'm open."

Through eight games, Young has recorded an estimated 30 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss and eight sacks.

Currently, he has a 2.7 grade point average.
