Do Noles Lead For Orlando DT?

Florida State and Miami have been battling for the services of Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater defensive tackle Aaron Jones, Jr. This past weekend he along with his teammate Kenny Ingram visited unofficially for the North Carolina State game. Was his visit good enough to put the Noles on top?

"Florida State is my leader and Miami is number two," The four-star prospect said. "I'm going to take my official visits to Miami, Florida State, LSU, Georgia and Tennessee."

What did he like about his unofficial visit to Tallahassee and where did he rate the Noles on a scale from one to ten?

My visit was a ten," he said. "I liked everything about it and I got a chance to bond with some recruits that were considering Florida State or already committed. I talked with the big offensive lineman from Atlanta (Courtney Abbott), Drew Weatherford, Tony Carter and Marcus Walker."

The 6-foot-3 and 273 pound standout had some interesting observations on some other recruits attending game, including his close friend and teammate Kenny Ingram.

"Marcus Walker from Texas looked to be having a good time," he said. "I told him all I knew about Florida State. In my opinion, this visit might have helped change Kenny's mind some. His father likes Florida State a lot."

Jones, Jr. talked with the entire coaching staff and several players, including Travis Johnson, Antonio Cromartie, and Pat Watkins.

This past weekend Jones had a great game in the first round of the playoffs by recording seven tackles, one sack and four hurries.
