FSU Visits Miami CB

Miami Northwestern's Trevor Ford, who is one of the top corners in the Southeast, just got done setting up all of his visits. Tonight coaches from both Miami and Florida State dropped by his home for a visit. This Friday he'll head out for his first official visit.

"This Friday I'm taking my first visit to Indiana," Ford said. "I will also visit Kansas State, Miami, Florida State and Ohio State. I'll probably decide on a school sometime in the middle of January."

Tonight, Coach Shannon of Miami and Coach Haggins of Florida State dropped by his home for a visit. How did it go?

"They went well," he said. "They both went about the same. We talked about academics and graduating."

In addition to coaches, each respective school has a player in his ear. At Miami it's cornerback Travarous Bain. Florida State's defensive tackle Clifton Dickson also gives him a call from time to time.

"They both tell me to go where I feel the most comfortable and to go with my heart," Ford said.

What would make the 6-foot-1 and 180 pound lockdown corner with 4.33 40 speed feel comfortable?

"The coaching staff being honest with me," he said. "I feel like Miami, Florida State and Kansas State are the three schools that are honest with me."

As a senior, Ford recorded 56 tackles, five interceptions and 11 passes broken up.
