Huge Lineman Set And Done?

Courtney Abbott is one of the most impressive looking offensive line prospect to come out of Georgia in a long time. At 6-8 and 330 pounds, he moves his feet well, and does not carry much extra weight. He is eager to prove himself today against what has to be considered a loaded South defensive line in the North South All-Star game today at 2:00 in Columbus, GA.

"I've already gone against Charles Johnson in camp," said Abbott. "I'm looking forward to facing someone like Jeremy Lomax. To be the best you have to beat the best, and I want to be the best."

Abbott has played off his recruitment the past month or so saying that he was going where his mom told him to go. In speaking with him in person, it's fairly easy to tell that he likes to joke around with people that he is talking to.

"Nah, I'm done. I'm going to Florida State. I may visit LSU or Florida, but I don't really even know about that. I'm going to Florida State, and I'm trying to get him to come with me (points at Jae Thaxton).

Abbott has all of the skills in the world. My former high school coach asked me if I could pick one player off of the North squad to start a team, who would it be? I said, I might have to go with Courtney Abbott. He has the most potential, but he is also one of the biggest risks. Teams are smart to take risks on 6-8 and 330 pound monsters with quick feet though, and Florida State is going to try and mold him into the player they think he can be
If he reaches his full potential, he is a sure 1st round NFL talent.
