Timmons Enjoys Trip

Four-star linebacker Lawrence Timmons of Florence, S.C., just returned from his official visit to Florida. Last weekend, he visited Florida State. How did his trip to Gainesville go? Click here for all the details.

"It went real nice," Lawrence Timmons told TheTerritory on Sunday.

"I would rate my trip as a 10 just like last week. There were a lot of highlights on this trip. Going into the locker room and seeing the rings and trophies on the table was one. Another was seeing our highlights at the stadium."

Timmons said that he thought there were very little differences between his Florida and Florida State visits.

"I like Florida State's location and Coach Steele is a real good coach. Ron Zook is good people and he knows how to treat players. I like Coach Charlie Strong also," Timmons said.

Florida and Florida State remain as his top two favorites. Next week, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound standout will visit Tennessee before making a decision.

Coach Ron Zook will be in Timmons home this week. Coach Bowden still has an in-home visit with him also.

Timmons should have no problems academically qualifying with a 3.2 grade point average and an 18 on the ACT Test.
