Dee McClure Thinking Over FSU Option

Last summer, Adamsville (AL) Minor safety prospect Dee McClure gave a verbal commitment to the home-state Auburn Tigers. However with a recent offer from the Seminoles, he decided to check out Tallahassee before making his final decision. How did things go on his trip?

"It went real well," he said. "I would rate it a ten because I really liked the atmosphere, the coaches, the environment and the unity on the team."

Where do the Noles stand with him?

"As of now I'm not committed to Auburn," he said. "I would probably say FSU and Auburn are even. I am going to go home and weigh my options and put the plus's and minus's of each school on paper.  I'm going to go the school that makes me the most happiest."

Dee McClure is going to make his final decision on Wednesday at 10:00 AM.

Last spring at the Auburn Nike camp, he ran 4.54 40-yard dash time and benched 185 pounds 23 times. He also ran a 4.44 shuttle with a 30.7 vertical leap.

As a junior, he recorded 44 tackles and 6 interceptions.

McClure has a 2.5 grade point average with a 24 score on the ACT.
