Nearing A Decision

Demario Pressley, No 1 rated defensive tackle in the country, is getting close to making a decision. Last Thursday and Friday, he had coaches in his home from North Carolina, North Carolina State and Florida State. This weekend, he took an unofficial visit to the campuses of both North Carolina and North Carolina State.

"I went over to State and Carolina for an unofficial visit," Pressley told TheTerritory Sunday afternoon.

"I spoke to the coaches but not much. I also ran into Trimaine Goddard (UNC commitment) and Jamar Adams (Michigan commitment) over there. When they start talking about going to the same school, I really don't pay attention to them."

On Friday, the Seminoles' coaching staff made a fullcourt press by bringing in four coaches to house for a visit, including head coach Bobby Bowden.

"Coach Haggins, Lilly, Sexton and Bowden were at my house on Friday night," he said.

"We talked about a lot of stuff and they told me that they hope I made the right choice."

When asked by The if he knew where he was going before the in-home visits, he replied, "kind of."

"I'm going to sit down with my family today and tomorrow and way all the pro's and con's before making a decision," he said.

There have been reports that his mother would like him to play his college ball close to home.

What is the latest on that?

"She's all right with it," he said.

As a senior, he recorded 87 tackles and 14 sacks.

Demario Pressley is on track to qualify academically with a 3.0 grade point average and a score of 870 on the SAT test.

He will announce his college choice on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from his school.
