Panhandle LB Is One Of The Nations Best
"Some people project me as a defensive end," the 6-foot-4 and 215 pound standout with 4.6 speed. "But I want to play some linebacker. Right now I'm playing basketball. When football season rolls around, I'll have 20 more pounds on me."
Who player does he compare his style of play with?
"Ray Lewis," he said. "I love the way he plays which is full of energy. That's how I play."
Demps told the Territory.org that the Miami Hurricanes was his favorite team growing up. However, the LSU Tigers are considered the team to beat for his services.
"LSU is on top because my brother plays there," Demps said. "Miami is next followed by Florida State. Miami is a beautiful city and I like Bobby Bowden. I probably could help their defense."
Demps is also considering Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
As a junior he recorded 145 tackles (122 solo) and five sacks.
The Panhandle standout is an excellent student who shouldn't have a problem qualifying academically with a 2.85 grade point average.
