South Florida Defensive End thinking.....

One of the top prospects in South Florida this year will be Defensive End from Piper High School Vladimir Richard. At 6-foot-3, 245 pounds Richard has the speed and quickness to play defensive end or with some added weight could move to the interior of the defensive line and play tackle in college.

Vladimir Richard relies on his quick first step off the football and strength to overpower offensive lineman. What is most impressive is how Richard plays hard on every down. He does not take many plays off.

So, does Richard have an early leader?

"Oh yeah Miami is where I am leaning hard right now, if they offer the canes will be hard for me to turn down. They were my favorite team growing up and that's where I can see myself playing."

Even though Miami is a big leader right now, Richard wants to check some other schools out as well.

"I also like North Carolina State, LSU, Southern Cal and FSU as well. I will take my visits, weigh my options, and make my choice than." "I am also looking for a school that can provide me with the best situation academically as well."

Not only is Richard play on the football field impressive he does well in the classroom as well. He carries a 3.5 GPA and looks to take his SAT and ACT test very soon.

"I want to get my academic situation squared away so I can concentrate on football this fall."

Richard will camp at Miami and Iowa this summer.
