Defensively, he did not commit an error at third base during the four-game stretch. Chapman, a St. Cloud native, scored the game-winning run in Sunday's contest against Oral Roberts in the bottom of the ninth after leading off the inning with a walk.
Eddie Cannon, a right-handed pitcher, went 2-0 for the week accumulating a 2.13 ERA while recording 18 strikeouts in over 12 innings of work.
He tied his career-high twice this past week for strikeouts in a game with nine in each of his two starts. In the win against Jacksonville, the Sebring, Fla. native allowed no runs on only one hit while walking just three Dolphin batters. Against Oral Roberts, Cannon worked 6.2 innings giving up three runs on six hits. The senior held opponents to a .156 batting average while giving up only two extra base hits in his two starts.
The Seminoles will host UNC-Asheville this weekend at Dick Howser Stadium. Game times are set for Friday at 3:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
