Wednesday Practice Report

Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida State football practiced for 26-periods in shorts on Wednesday afternoon. The Seminoles will practice again on Thursday before taking a week off for spring break.

"We worked in shorts today, tomorrow we will go in shells (shoulder pads and shorts) and that will be the last practice this week," said head coach Bobby Bowden. "The kids are working hard and we'll start to pick up the pace now. Practice has been real smooth so far."

The team spent most of the afternoon working on position drills before moving to 11-on-11 in the final few periods. Dominic Robinson had the two best catches of the day as he hauled in a 52-yard touchdown pass from Chris Rix in skeleton drills and added a one-handed 45-yard TD grab during 11-on-11.

Thursday's practice will begin at 3:15 p.m. and the team will work in shells. Practices are closed to the public.

The Seminoles open the 2004 season on September 6 at Miami.
