Noles Offer Cali DE

Averell Spicer is quickly becoming a household name. The hot defensive end prospect is starting to gather more offers, but he remains solid in his top five. The Noles are the latest team to offer.

"I like Florida State, Miami, USC, UCLA, and Oregon State. I have offers from Florida State, UCLA, and OSU. I don't have a favorite right now."

USC seems to be making a move on him.

"I went up to their practice today and I like them a lot. I think they might be close to offering me. They have one of the best programs for defensive lineman in the nation and they like me at d-end."

Although he has made his claim to fame at this spot, he will be trying to emulate that success on the other side of the ball next season.

"I will be our starting running back this year and I will start at defensive end," he explains.

When asked what he likes about UCLA Averell responded, "I think it is a good school with good coaches. They have a nice program there."

The Seminoles were his favorite team growing up since he was raised in Orlando, Florida. Spicer plans on attending the Florida State and UCLA Junior Days. He is making summer camp plans to travel to the Oregon State Camp and the Stanford Nike Camp. OSU was the first school to offer him.

Averell carries a 2.86 core GPA and scored a 900 on his SAT. He is undecided on a major.
